Freestyle
The Freestyle group of songs that we are used to listening to is a Soviet collective from the city of Poltava, which was formed in 1988. Anatoly Rozanov in one person was: a producer, composer and group leader. In the early years of the collective, Kazachenko Vadim was the leader, but already in 1991 he began a solo project and left the group.
After the formation of the "Freestyle" group in November, the guys are gaining popularity in a few months. Walking shoulder to shoulder with the legendary bands "Laskoviy May" and "Mirage", they very quickly gain fame.
As the newspaper "Pionerskaya Pravda" writes for October 13, 1990:
“The freestyle collective is one of the most mysterious pop groups in recent years. A year ago, their songs appeared in recording studios and in a matter of days they were scattered across all discos in the Soviet Union. "
In 1991, a video for the song of the Freestyle group - "It hurts, hurts, " appeared on TV screens. This song becomes a hit.
A year later, the musicians begin to need a new vocalist and line-up leader. They announce a competitive selection. The vacant position is occupied by Sergey Dubrovin, who holds the position of not only a singer, but also a guitarist.
In the assembled composition, the performers release the song "Oh what a woman." This composition immediately becomes the hallmark of the group. This single brings the group not only extraordinary popularity, but also makes the team a laureate of the Song-96 TV festival. Unfortunately, in the summer of 2001, Seryozha Dubrovin moved to Germany and began his solo career as a musician.
Having gained some bitter experience, the group decides not to take risks and does not look for a vocalist "from the outside". It was decided that the vocal position would be headed by Sergey Kuznetsov, a member of the group, who, in turn, is the author of most of the songs written for the Freestyle group's repertoire.
In 2004, the composition needs novelty and zest, and in this they are helped by Yuri Savchenko, who becomes the band's arranger. As a graduate of the Odessa Conservatory and previously working with Kristina Orbakaite, the "Prime Minister" group, Boris Moiseyev and others, he flawlessly copes with his role and participation in the "Freestyle" group.
In 2005, the performers released a new album called “Drop. Favorite Songs ”, which includes seventeen songs. The vocalist of the album is Nina Kirso.
Radio stations pick up the wave and broadcast songs from the collection day and night.
The group is entrusted with a sea of fame and achievement. The guys become laureates of the international music awards "Golden Sharmanka" and "Song of the Sea". The group participates in many concert programs in the USSR.
A number of presentations of new releases and albums of the Freestyle group are held in different cities, such as Kiev, Moscow and others.
In February 2012, the musicians opened a recording studio "Studio Freestyle". According to many music critics and experts, this is a truly unique company with a European level of sound quality, along with modern equipment.
For everyone who wants to learn more about the work of the Freestyle group, the YouTube channel broadcasts songs for everyone, at any time of the day or night.
